Make Your Own Fire Cider!
Monday Nov. 8, 2021 on Zoom
6:30-7:30

Join me via the Connolly Branch of the Boston Public Library. We'll prep, chop & learn together as I share about this warming, delicious home remedy. We'll talk medicinal actions, uses, dosage and about the famous "Free Fire Cider" legal campaign that helped to set an important 'herbs for the people' precedent.

Join me for this wonderful community gathering of herbal classes, weed walks, yoga and a vibrant local herbal marketplace. Free and open to the public! All the details are here:
Herbstalk's Annual Harvest Festival

I'll be present "Elderberry Sumac Syrup: A Supreme Herbal Ally" at the 1:00 time slot. Learn all about this delicious immune supporting syrup and how to make my version of this elixir for you and yours. There'll be a thorough hand-out, herb display and a mini tasting, too.
Hope to see you there!

Nature has been always been the first medicine of the people. When we learn about our healing plant community, learn to make herbal teas, salves, elixirs and more - with reverence, curiosity and reciprocity - we are empowered to have more agency in our own health. We are nourished and enlivened not only by the plant's medicinal actions but through our connection to the plants and the land. Please join me for one or all of these classes!

Local Medicinal Plants: Weed Walks at the Boston Food Forest
  • May 18th // Saturday 1:00-3:00 pm
  • June 16th // Saturday 10:00-12:00 pm
  • June 26th // Wednesday 6:30-8:00 pm

We'll stroll through the Boston Food Forest where I'll present on the wild and cultivated medicinal plants we find. I'll focus on plant identification, typical food and medicinal uses and some basics of herb harvest and preparation. Participants will have a chance to share their experiences and ask questions, as well as enjoy some herbal tea prepared from some of the same herbs we'll see on the walk. These are entirely out doors classes. They are geared for adults though children accompanied by their parent are welcomed.  Check with the FB or MeetUp event pages for any changes due to bad weather, or contact me directly.
